Starting with this firmware there is a driver for ILI932x LCD controllers (old 2.8" LCD, 3.2" LCD) @320x240 included - but also a driver for ILI9486 LCDs (3.5"LCD standard at OVI40 and optional possible for mcHF, all revisions) @480x320. LCD detection is done dynamically so you can use this (and later) firmwares with both LCDs. Advantage of 480x320 LCD is much sharper picture, waterfall and scope do use whole width of LCD, readability is better.

Hint:
You can get LCD kits (3.5", 480x320) fitting to mcHF (all versions) and OVI40 from DF8OE

Beginnend mit dieser Firmware Version ist ein Treiber für ILI932x LCDs (altes 2.8" LCD, 3.2" LCD) @320x240 in der Firmware enthalten - und zusätzlich der Treiber für ILI9486 LCDs (3.5" standard beim OVI40, optional einsetzbar beim mcHF, alle Revisions) @480x320 enthalten. Die Ermittlung und korrekte Ansteuerung erledigt die Firmware ab sofort automatisch für beide LCD-Typen. Der Vorteil des 480x320 LCDs ist ein wesentlich schärferes Bild sowie Wasserfall und Spektrum über die komplette Bildbreite. Die Erkennbarkeit ist besser als mit dem niedrig auflösenden Display.

Tipp:
Ihr könnt LCD kits (3.5", 480x320) passend für mcHF (alle Versionen) und OVI40 bei DF8OE bekommen.

Does that mean the former splitting of the I40 firmware archives into 3,2" and 3.5" is now obsolete and we can continue just using the standard image ?

funktioniert super!

gerade am OVI40 mit 3,2" und 3,5" TFT ausprobiert
