In bootloader 3.4.6 I reimplemented a former feature which was gone erratically: the prevention of unattended rebootloops at poweringoff, obsered by some mcHFs. We never have had located the problem - it must be a hardware issue, maybe a result of many toleraces. It was already worked out - but we thought a new idea will do the job, too (setting poweroff-pin of STM tristate). But that was not true - the issue popped up on a few mcHFs again and was absolutely resistent to every hardware modification try.

So I reimplemented the old technique of two different delays, dependent on a SRAM byte. That worked flawlessly and will do the job again. No need to go back to propietary bootloader on mcHF and miss many of the new features of free bootloader.

just flashed the new bootloader on all UI's (mcHF and OVI40), no side effects detected

Prima ! Denn ich habe hier tatsächlich einen mcHF V05, der gelegentlich schwer abzuschalten ist. Wie ein Stehaufmännchen startet er wieder neu.
Ich werde den Bootloader gleich mal raufspielen.

Diese Lösung hatte ich anno dunnemals schon mal ausgedacht und sie lief ja auch immer stabil. Wir dachten, das Problem, auch anders lösen zu können - das war aber ein Trugschluss. Es hat sich am Verhalten des BL nach Außen nichts geändert (REBOOT-Funktion geht auch noch) - nur die Einschaltloop sollte wieder wege sein - und zwar bei allen. Was auch immer die wahre Ursache ist. Im Prinzip ist es ein Workaround, der die Wirkung beseitigt bei unbekannter Ursache. Ich bin nicht generell gegen Workarounds.
