I think it is mcHF board because of the buttons under the LCD and the 2.8" LCD itself.

Very easy: ask the seller.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The chinese cloners have been faster as the OVI40 developer (thats me). The message you see is meaning that your rf board is using an oscillator chip I firstly want to use for OVI40 rf board. But during development I saw so tremendous problems in mixing concept that I buried it and started DUC/DDC development.

So what you see never was developed ready - but the chinese cloners picked it up because it is cheaper in production 8)

Welcome to reality!

BTW:
The message above shows that they have modified firmware. "BS188" never was and is a text message of original firmware. So they have to publish the source code - otherwise they are breaking the licence of the firmware...

Look at the schematics and you see what hardware is present.

So the problem is init display
i read code ui_lcd_hy28.c
for know why my display ILI9341 not working good
it's display HY28B SPI for ILI9341

ask:
if i change my display hardware ILI9341 for 9325 it's work after?
or change code for ILI9341?
thank's for your reply
Xavier

I do not know HY28B with ILI9341 controller. But it is interesting! Please ask seller for the link to the source code. They have to publish it otherwise they do a license breach. I think it is not as complicated to apply init code (included decision which one to use).

EDIT:
I do not see HY28B using ILI9341. All 2.8" LCDs which have this controller are using total different pinouts. Never used on mcHF. UHSDR does not support cloned devices which left mcHF compatibility...

You should be clear (and friendly) with them: they must publish the code!

Hello,

i have read your discussion here, but too late and bricked my Clone, which is exactly the same as mentioned in this thread. May i ask, if someone has already a solution for this device ?
I want to mention, that i am already in contact with the seller and informed him very polite to provide the source code and explained what GPL means and that he breaks the License in case it is not public available. Actual Banggood is in between the seller and me and understood the problem already. I am looking forward to get minimum a refund and in best case, source code or bootloader with firmware. I will keep you informed.

Finally i want to thank you for this cool project and i appreciate your work here.

Just want to inform, that i got via Banggood Technical Support the Bootloader and the Firmware for this type of Clone with the different LCD. I have uploaded it to https://groups.io/g/RS-918-HF-SDR-Transceiver/files/BS188%20firmware and i was able to flash Bootloader and Firmware.
My request to get the Source Files to work on own builds they have not fullfilled yet. Let see, if they will respond in case i refer again to GPL.

Its problematic. Redistribution of binaries without the sources is a license break, too. The one who provides it (seller) AND the ones who redestribute it in public...

I am not 100% sure but I do not think public distributing is legal. All who have bought this device are very unlucky and the best would be to return it if the seller does not follow the license.
