Title: FreeDV and F4 processor
Post by: EB3AM on 28. October 2020, 23:30:04

I'm looking at how to activate 700 mode instead of 1600 with the F4 processor.

I'm always wrong with a lack of ram memory. I've tried to take other ways, but I don't get the compilation to work.
The processor may not have enough power, but is there any way to get it to compile in this mode?

Thanks!

The processor deinitely is out-of-memory AND horse power. fdv700 does not work with F4 processors.

Hi,

may to clarify: The STM32F4 prozessor is capable of supporting 700D modes IF it is more or less entirely devoted to just this task as in the SM1000 of David Rowe.

In our MCHF the very same processor runs also the UI and the IQ processing in addition to FreeDV. And this is just a little too much for 700D decoding, just enough for 1600 which is a little less resource consuming mode.
