Title: new builds now officially supports H7 MCU on OVI40
Post by: DF8OE on 22. July 2018, 09:12:34

Hi to all,

I have merged Danilos H7 implementation and modified my "automatically build script". First build has new version numbers (for mcHF/OVI40-F7, too). There is no functional change but it would be helpful if you can test functionality.

F4 with both displays works.

Title: Naming changed for H7 files - important!
Post by: DF8OE on 25. July 2018, 04:52:04

Hi to all,

I have done a mistake - but only a handful are bothered.... I haven't changed namings for bootloader and firmware file for H7 builds so they are identical to F7 builds - not good. Confusion and bugreports would be the result.

So I changed namings for H7 builds to
fw-OVI40
bl-OVI40

and that are the filenames which are hard-coded in bootloader for USB upgrades. Very sorry I forgot that. I removed bootloader and firmware from server and replaced them with versions added a "h" after the version string. This is a quick hack only for this build (I didn't want to count all versions one up for this change).

All who do own H7 board AND have already installed bootloader 4.1.2 / firmware 2.9.44 are pleased to install the now available versions so that USB upgrades will depend on the correct filenames.

Starting with next version of bootloader / firmware the above naming is default.

...and because of H7 would become standard MCU when it is available in masses naming is now corresponding to project name ::)
