Hi Artur,

you compare apples with pears. We do have magnification routines in new firmware which are based on a complete different data structure than old firmware. And you can set speed of waterfall and scope independent on new firmware to save horse power. We need much more horse power for audio interrupt (DSP functions) so transfer time to LCD must be minimized as much as possible. SPI would be too slow and you would get audio distortions because there is too much time wasted with LCD data transfer in SPI. At low speeds of course you see the "stepping" when new dataset arrives. If we would "smooth" that there will again be a big data traffic. Slowing down LCD should result in LOWER transfer of data - it makes no sense to lower the speed and stuck transferred data at the same level. So look at new LCD and be happy ::)

The stepping of waterfall at low speed is because of lack of ram and thereof we use display of two or three lines per one line of data recorded from spectrum. Have idea how to make it smooth. Will try it next week.

Corrected display routine waits for merge. After that, please test it. For me it looks much better now.
