Der neue Bootloader 3.4.5 hat sowohl für den mcHF als auch für den OVI40 eine neue Funktionalität bekommen: es werden ab sofort das alte LCD mit 320x240 als auch das neue LCD mit 480x320, beide sowohl in SPI als auch in parallel, dynamisch unterstützt.
Für Besitzer des OVI40 ist es sehr empfehlenswert diesen Bootloader aufzuspielen da sie mit ihm die Bootloadermeldungen sowohl mit dem "kleinen" als auch mit dem "großen" LCD sehen können und für einen Umstieg auf die neue Firmware gewappnet sind, die standard-mäßig für das große LCD gebaut sein wird.
Es ist geplant die Firmware für den OVI40 in den nächsten Tagen standardmäßig für das große LCD im Downloadbereich anzubieten. Für eine Übergangszeit wird ein zweiter Build für das kleine LCD dazugeschaltet. Diesen werde ich aber mittelfristig wieder entfernen. Wer dann noch die Firmware für das kleine LCD haben will muss sie sich selbst aus den Quellen bauen.
Für den mcHF ist ein Umstieg auf den neuen Bootloader nur dann sinnvoll, wenn man vorhat, auf dem mcHF das in Kürze in größeren Stückzahlen verfügbare 3.5" LCD einzusetzen.

The new bootloader 3.4.5 has become a new functionality for both the mcHF and the OVI40: the old LCD with 320x240 as well as the new LCD with 480x320, both in SPI and in parallel, are now supported dynamically.
For owners of the OVI40 it is highly recommended to load this bootloader as they can see the bootloader messages with both the "small" and the "big" LCD and so are prepared for a change to the new firmware which will be build in "standard" for 480x320 LCD.
It is planned to offer the firmware for the OVI40 in the next few days by default for the large LCD in the download area. For a transitional period, a second build will be added for the small LCD. But I will remove it in medium term. If you still want to have the firmware for the small LCD, you have to build yourself from the sources.
For the mcHF, switching to the new bootloader is only recommended if you intend to use the 3.5 "LCD on mcHF which will be available soon as "plug&play" in larger amounts.
