S7 S8

Hi,I'm wondering about S7 and S8. There are two ways to mount them. I can see on the pictures that they should be mounted on the upper 4 pads. But what is the purpose of this?

OVI40 will be available in future with bigger LCDs. This is the "non-portable" version. Because of LCD should be place on the same lower level as smaller LCD these buttons have to move down (or they will conflict with larger LCDs)... For larger LCDs the VFO encoder will move away from its PCB place.

Hi Andreas,

I am not building a portable version. What display pixel format are we going up to? 1024 x 600? in 7" or 10"

Also what controller support is currently available for Parallel and touch interfaces?

Actually ILI9486 controllers using resolution 480x320 are supported. The "standard LCD" is a 3.5" LCD - and this will be "the edge" for portable use. We are not currently working on higher resolutions and/or other controllers because there are many other much higher priority works to be done.
