Hallo liebe Funkfreunde,
habe heute das frisch bestückte 3,5" Display an einen meiner MiniTRX's angeschlossen (natürlich mit der Original Auflösung 340x280)...
im Gegensatz zum 3,2" verfügt es über wesentlich mehr Farbintensität und natürlich Schärfe...
werde dann noch ein Bild vom 3,2" schicken.

Das habe ich auch beobachtet. Obwohl die "Bittiefe" bei beiden Displaytypen gleich ist, hat das 3.5" einen subjektiv deutlich höheren Dynamikumfang. Schwarz ist schwärzer und weiß ist weißer. Eine Änderung des Vorwiderstandes um mehr Helligkeit zu bekommen habe ich bei mir bei keinem der 3.5er vorgenommen - das Bild ist schon so wie es ist absolut brilliant.
Was Du nun noch benötigst ist eine 3.5" Firmware...

Hi,
yes the lcd quality progress continues...
One of the Polish OMs, Wojtek SP4EBI connected the 4" lcd for Rasperry pi to UHSDR and this one looks just awesome! This is 4" IPS type connected to UHSDR.

It also uses ili9486 controller and LCD runs 480x320 - same firmware as our standard fw...

I bet you will find it in German shops because it is popular. But one remark: it uses SPI interface for sure (Rpi connector), I don't have it to check the parallel interface working (must be disassembled to do that).

I had a look at "Eckstein-Shop" here in Germany and found a 4" with ILI9486 from WaveShare like the ones in your link

but please make sure that it is IPS type, because Waveshare has two types: TN and IPS for 4" size, the better one is more expensive ;)
@Thomas: the back of this module (the chips) looks very similar to 3.5" type so, I think there is the same conversion way SPI to Parallel (shift registers).

und dank Andreas raschem Handeln habe ich bereits die aktuelle FW für den 3,5Zöller in meinen MiniTRX geladen.. echt ein traumhaftes Bild, scharf und kontrastreich, könnte mich daran gewöhnen und werde mir zum MiniTRX einen Adapter bauen (pultförmig), damit ich auch in Zukunft das tolle Display verwenden kann..

but i guess this has a different pixel size and will not work.
On one of the store photos from Slaweks URLs you can see that his 4inch panels is a standard IPS panel from Waveshare for a Raspberry Pi:

It can be purchased directly in the Waveshare store which also sells the 3,2" displays for UHSDR.

My friend Thomas from Haoyu promised to add the LCD we are using to his shop.
Please be patient. The one you mentioned is NOT compatible.
I ordered the complete batch I have on Stocjk from Haoyu - Thomas has get these LCDs especially for me.
