I am just finishing a Ver 7 build.

MCU will not see USB drive

Good connections to pins 53 and 54, No pin to pin shorts.
Good 5 volts at USB socket.

Bootloader and Firmware upload fine with DFuse

Any Ideas??

Hi Chuck,

the main reason are bad connections from USB plug to MCU or missing / bad 5V. I never have had other reasons for malfunction.

Of course it can be an incompatible USB plug, or it is wrong formatted (no FAT filesystem) or a bad MCU.

Do you have LED on plug which indicates data traffic?

I put the stupid USB socket on the wrong side of the board HIHI
