Hi Janez ! I always installed the bias mod on my RF boards and always used the Fairchild FST3253MX chips instead of the ones from TI. But you have to be quick. I recently got an email info from Mouser as well as Digi Key that Fairchild has set them EoL (end of life). Mouser and Digi Key are now selling whats in their stock and thats it. So in a long term you will end up with the CBTs from TI anyway. I guess there will only be a slightly difference. I was kind of "burned" cause i mixed up the CBTs with a wrong version in my first board and so my RX was totally deaf. After a long search and thanks to the "finger antenna" it turned out the CBTs were wrong and thats why i choose the secure way and used the Fairchilds. So i can give a clear recommendation to do it. Its no extra work just pick the right values.
Another recommendation is to change C70 and C74 to 1nF. This mitigates the high hissing noise a bit in the audio path. You can also change the 6 toroids for the 2 higher bands into the yellow type T-37-6. I have done this too in all my RF boards as well with a very good result.

Thank you Peter and Andreas for your useful tips. My mcHF rev. 0.7 already has the following changes: - 74G74AS from Potato - BAS70 diodes in SWR/Power meter - STM32F427VIT6 with 24CM02 - Yellow toroids (T37-6) for 30m and above - Corrected connection of T3 in SWR/Power meter - RFI protection of P2a, P2b and P2c with additional 10nF capacitors (I didn't like the copper shield solution).
- it uses UHSDR since very beginning.
Now as suggested I will replace CBTs with FST3253MX and do the bias mod (changed resistors).

Hallo Andreas,
