OK, yes, the PA bias value goes to Zero after a reset, but the individual power out settings go to strange values, see 1st pic! (sorry, blurry)

Measuring the Pin 4 of U18, when PA bias is at Zero, the pin 4 voltage is 2.93 see pic w2

When Pa Bias setting is 104, the pin 4 voltage is .25 see pic 3

This is working backwards.

Just discovered that with another "U" board, the bias is working.

Maybe bad MCU????

Anyway to do a hard reset on MCU?

I tried reloading bootloader and firmware, maybe I need to do it again.

A MCU which goes bad by inverting an output? I cannot believe. You can do a "full reset" of MCU using ST-Link ("mass erase"). But I cannot believe that helps.

Sorry - again: no further ideas. I think you must investigate by yourself...

The power out settings you see are not strange - that are the defaults for the bands.

Ich habe gerade mal am Pin 4 (Out) und Pin 1 (from DAC) von U18 nachgemessen (ohne PA-Transistoren) :

                          Pin 4            Pin 1
Bei Bias =    0  -> 1,35 Volt    -> 0,32 Volt
bei Bias = 115  -> 4,39 Volt    ->3,18 Volt

Über die Default-Werte bei den Power-Einstellungen nach einem Full Reset habe ich mich auch schon gewundert. Waren die nicht mal alle auf 0 bzw auf 3 ?

Hi Chuck,
the images put me hopefully on the right track. The default values for the PA configuration during reset where at some point defined per Band and not identical to the default which is used when you press the "default" button in menu (here it is always 3).

I just did a pull request to set all defaults when doing the configuration reset to 0. This is very safe and should do what is expected from a full reset.

Yes, this will be good!

Still confused though why my MCU is working backwards from the DAC

Is there a command with the uhsdr_tool to reset the MCU ??

Me too, I am also confused by this. I checked the code and there is no difference to any other setting handling. BTW, is there the same problem  when changing CW PA Bias or not?

No. And even if it would exist, we would most likely call the same internal function as we do when pressing F1-F3-F5.

I think you have not damaged it - it is a "bad production". Or there are some registers which only can be resetted via STLink. STLink is a mandatory instrument for debugging and direct access of MCU - so we were very astonished that Chris had removed the headers in 0.5 version. It is nearly impossible to work professionel without STLink...
